Replies and reply-all
The button sits in Gmail's reply box. It reads every message in the thread above it, so the draft knows what has already been agreed.
New emails and forwards
In a fresh compose window it writes from your instruction — "ask for the signed contract", "chase the invoice politely".
Photos and PDF attachments
Screenshots, photos and PDFs attached to the email are read too, so a reply to a quote or an invoice is about its numbers.

Open the email you want to answer and click Reply.
Press AI Reply beside the message box. Pick a tone and length, or type what you want to say.
Read the draft in the panel, change anything, and insert it. You press Send in Gmail yourself.

Does it work in Gmail in other languages?
